"It's amazing, it's great," said Paul, the NBA Players Association president who was particularly pleased with provisions for health care and health insurance for former players.

U.S. East Coast feels polar vortex blast that chilled Midwest
Date : 15/12/2016 14:10

By Timothy Mclaughlin CHICAGO (Reuters) - Residents of the U.S. East Coast shivered on Thursday in blustery, frigid weather brought by a swirling cold air pattern called a polar vortex that earlier swept across the Midwest, with New England states facing wind-chill advisories. The arctic air, which has Boston facing possible record-low temperatures on Friday, began blowing south from Canada into the Midwest earlier in the week, prompting authorities to warn of the risk of frostbite and hypothermia. Two years ago, a southward shift in the polar vortex brought the Midwest some of its coldest weather in two decades.
Ball change for Woods in ongoing equipment switch
Date : 15/12/2016 08:28

(Reuters) - It has been all change on the equipment front for Tiger Woods on his return to competition after an absence of almost 16 months and on Thursday Bridgestone Golf announced that he has signed a multi-year agreement for exclusive use of its golf ball. The former world number one had previously played with Nike golf balls, dating back to 2000, but he was forced to look elsewhere when the world's largest footwear maker decided to exit the golf club and ball business in August. Following the departure of Nike, Woods switched to a TaylorMade driver and fairway metals, reverted to his Scotty Cameron putter, and he selected the Bridgestone Tour B330-S ball after testing it in competition at the Hero World Challenge earlier this month.
